NAVIGATION FAQ RULES FEEDBACK You remember dying. How could you not? The wounds on your body are still fresh, the sensation of slowly bleeding out vivid in your mind. You remember each rasping breath you drew, over and over, until your body finally said no more. And yet, here you are. Perhaps the afterlife is not what you expected. Food, drink, even air hold no use for you now. The wounds you arrived with show no signs of healing, their presence an unending reminder. And the scenery is no better: there are no pearly gates, or endless fields of wheat, or rivers of screaming souls. No sun rises in this place, the sky and world both a deep black. The only distinguishing feature here is a pillar of light, far, far in the distance - an endless warmth whispering to you, pulling you closer. But desolate as it is, the world is not empty. Endless formations sprout out from the sands as you move forward, spires and fingers and polyhedrons almost incomprehensible to your eyes. Things hide in the shadows cast by the light, behind you and beneath you and far, far above, and they will not hesitate to flay what little life your death has left you with. Watch yourself. You've been given a second chance - and eternity is far too important to waste. Ex Mortis is a survival horror game with a focus on exploration, progression, and existential crises. Characters arrive in the afterlife, finding themselves to be newly undead, and must find ways to navigate in a largely hostile world - or even to exist at all.
